BROTHERS INDICTED ON MURDER CHARGES IN WOMAN'S DEATH
April 9, 1997
(TRIAD/STATE)
A Guilford County grand jury has indicted two brothers on
first-degree murder charges.
Ted and Ronnie Kimble were indicted Monday in the death of Patricia
Blakley Kimble, Ted Kimble's wife of two years.
Investigators found the burned body of Patricia Kimble, 28, in the
hallway of her Pleasant Garden home Oct. 9, 1995. She had been shot
once in the head before the house was set on fire.
Guilford County sheriff's deputies arrested the brothers April 1.
Grand juries determine if probable cause exists to prosecute a
suspect. During a grand jury proceeding, prosecutors present
evidence and witnesses. If the grand jury finds probable cause that
a felony was committed, it issues an indictment or formal
accusation.
The defendant's case is not presented during the grand jury
proceeding.
Both men are being held without bond. Ronnie Kimble is in the
Guilford County Detention Center in Greensboro. Ted Kimble is in the
Guilford County Detention Center in High Point.
