April 5, 1997
(TRIAD/STATE)
Guilford County Sheriff's deputies filed the first charges in
several burglaries linked to murder suspect Ted Kimble.
Robert Harold Nicholes, 25, of 5665 Harnaday Road, is charged with
three felony counts of breaking and entering, larceny and possession
of stolen property.
He is charged with taking nine go-carts worth $15,000 from Northern
Hydraulics on Sandy Ridge Road and more than $4,300 worth of
building materials from Fowler, Beers and Jones Construction Co. on
N.C. 62 West in Guilford County near the Randolph County line.
Nicholes was released on a$1,000 bond.
Throughout the week, deputies have searched Kimble's business,
seizing similar types of building materials they say were stolen.
Kimble is the owner of Lyle's Surplus Building Materials, 1700 W.
Lee St. Among the items officials seized were four go-carts taken
from Northern Hydraulics, lumber, windows, appliances and cabinets.
They also found guns, a silencer and numerous how-to books about
avoiding the law.
More charges in the burglaries are expected to come next week.
Kimble and his brother, Ronnie Kimble, were charged Tuesday with
first-degree murder in the death of Ted Kimble's wife of two years,
Patricia Blakley Kimble.
Investigators found the burned body of Patricia Kimble, 28, in the
hallway of her Pleasant Garden home Oct. 9, 1995.
She had been shot once in the head before the house was set on fire. |
