Ted's handwritten notes included as footnotes
85
Guilford County
Sheriff's Department
1. Incident Number:
951009027 4. Narrative: I CALLED SHELIA BLAKLEY BY PHONE AT HER RESIDENCE ON 05DEC95. SHE SAID THAT TED HAD JUST CALLED HER ABOUT THIRTY MINUTES BEFORE I CALLED AND SHE SAID THAT RICHARD BLAKLEY HAD CALLED AND WANTED PATRICIAS WEDDING DRESS AND THAT TED HAD CALLED RICHARD BLAKLEY AND THAT RICHARD WAS POINTING THE FINGER AT HIM AND THAT THE PEOPLE AROUND RICHARDS HOUSE WAS POINTING THE FINGER AT HIM AND THAT HE DIDN'T WANT HIM COMMING AROUND. SHE SAID THAT SHE TOLD TED THAT HE SHOULD KNOW THAT PEOPLE WOULD BE POINTING FINGER AT HIM.
SHELIA THINKS THE NEWS
RELEASE THAT TED DID WOULD HAVE BEEN A GOOD THING IF TED WOULD HAVE
DONE IT RIGHT AFTER PATRICIAS DEATH. SHE REFERRED TO MONEY THAT THE
CHURCH TOOK UP AND HE PUT ON A MOTORCYCLEC
AND SHOULD HAVE PUT ON A REWARD AND HE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN RESPECT.
SHE THINKS THAT THE TV INTERVIEW MADE TED LOOK GUILTY.
AI called her because I didn't want her to feel left out. She acted like she cared. I had heard that she felt I was only after the money. I told her by this time I didn't want that money. While at the mall she ask my mother if I might sale her Patricia's ashes. After that comment I didn't have hardly anything else to do with her. BLike I said, she only cared about getting the ashes. CDarrel Kidd was with me at the mall when I spent the churches money. Did I sign a contract when they gave me the money? DGatlingburg - I thault it would help she and I both. The trip was paid for. Patricia and I had it planned. Sheila lives in a trailer in which both her parents died within two years prior to Patricia's death. Sheila sits around feeling sorry for herself all the time. ESheila had told me she was going to give me the money at the beginning. When she started speaking other ways and Greg Brooks told me she was trying to set me up. I back away real quick. I had no idea it was $50,000, I thault 25-30. Sheila came by my office a few weeks later and kept trying to take about the money. I wouldn't talk abut except to say for her to keep it. While we talked Ruben went off riding my motorcycle.* FGreg Brooks told me Sheila might be wired when she came in. GI later agreed to dump everything into the estate. In doing so I would've only got approx $35,000 - 20,000 reward = $15,000.
