Narrative: THE FOLLOWING IS AN INTERVIEW WITH NATALIE BELL KELLY W/F
02-12-39, ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN, MCB CAMP LEJEUNE, BASE CHAPLIN'S
OFFICE, BUILDING 37.
KELLY STATED
SHE IS A CIVILIAN EMPLOYEE AND PRESENTLY WORKS AT THE BASE CHAPLIN'S
OFFICE AS AN ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN. KELLY STATED SHE HAS KNOWN
CORPORAL RONNIE KIMBLE SINCE HE HAS BEEN ASSIGNED TO THE BASE
CHAPLIN'S OFFICE. KELLY STATED KIMBLE IS AN ASSIGNED DRIVER AT THE
CHAPLIN'S OFFICE AND WOULD ROUTINELY STOP BY AND SPEAK TO KELLY
WHILE HE WAS BY HER OFFICE TO PICKUP SUPPLIES FOR SUBSEQUENT
DELIVERY TO THE KELLY FURTHER RELATED KIMBLE TOLD HER THAT WHOEVER KILLED HIS SISTER-IN-LAW WAS IN THE PROCESS OF STEALING A TOOL CHEST WHICH HAD BEEN PULLED FROM A BEDROOM INSIDE HIS SISTER-IN-LAW'S RESIDENCE. KELLY STATED KIMBLE EXPLAINED THAT HE WAS AT HOME AT THE TIME OF HIS SISTER-IN-LAWS DEATH AND RECALLS HAVING BORROWED HIS BROTHER'S TRUCK ON THAT SAME OCCASION. KELLY STATED KIMBLE MAY HAVE TOLD HER WHAT TIME KIMBLE HAD RETURNED HIS BROTHER'S TRUCK THE DAY OF THE MURDER BUT CAN NOT RECALL. KELLY STATED KIMBLE NEVER TOLD HER THAT HE WAS THE LAST PERSON TO SEE HIS SISTER-IN-LAW ALIVE. KELLY STATED SHE WAS TOLD BY KIMBLE THAT HE WAS CONCERNED INVESTIGATORS WERE TRYING TO IMPLICATE HIM IN THE MURDER OF HIS SISTER-IN-LAW BUT HE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MURDER. KELLY WENT ON TO SAY THAT SHE PERSONALLY FEELS KIMBLE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MURDER OF HIS SISTER-IN-LAW.

KELLY STATED KIMBLE TOLD HER THAT HIS SISTER-IN-LAW WOULD NEVER
ENTER HER RESIDENCE IF THE RESIDENCE HAD BEEN BROKEN INTO OR IF SHE
OBSERVED A STRANGE VEHICLE AT THE RESIDENCE ON THE DATE OF HER
DEATH. KELLY STATED KIMBLE FURTHER RELATED HE FELT THE INVESTIGATORS
WERE ATTEMPTING TO IMPLICATE HIM IN THE MURDER OF HIS SISTER-IN-LAW KELLY STATED
KIMBLE HAS NEVER CONFIDED IN HER REGARDING THE MURDER OF HIS
SISTER-IN-LAW. KELLY STATED KIMBLE DID TELL HER THAT HE WOULD NEVER
HURT ANYONE. KELLY RELATED SHE DOES RECALL KIMBLE TELLING HER THAT
HE HAD PURCHASED GAS O THE DAY OF HIS SISTER-IN-LAW'S DEATH AND MAY
HAVE PUT GAS IN A LAWNMOWER LOCATED AT HIS SISTER-IN-LAWS RESIDENCE
ON THIS SAME OCCASION. KELLY TATED KIMBLE FURTHER MENTIONED TO HE
DURING CONVERSAITONS THAT THE GUN USED IN THE MURDER OF HIS
SISTER-IN-LAW WAS FOUND NEAR THE BODY. KELLY STATED SHE RECALLS
ASKING KIMBLE IF THE ABOVE MENTIONED GUN WAS THE SAME GUN USED TO
MURDER HIS SISTER-IN-LAW WITH KIMBLE STATEING HE DID NOT KNOW
BECAUSE THE INVESTIGATORS HAD NOT CONFIRMED THAT INFORMATION TO HIM. KELLY STATED
KIMBLE DID TELL HER THAT KIMBLES BROTHER HAD OBTAINED A LARGE LIFE
INSURANCE POLICY ON HIS WIFE AND THAT THE BROTHER HAD SIGNED HIS
WIFE'S NAME TO THE POLICY. KELLY STATED RONNIE KIMBLE TOLD HER THAT
HIS SISTER-IN-LAW WAS AWARE OF THE LIFE INSURANCE POLICY. KELLY
STATED KIMBLE ALSO TOLD HER THAT HIS BROTHER HAD PURCHASED INSURANCE
ON HIS OWN LIFE. KELLY FURTHER STATED KIMBLE TOLD HER THAT HIS
BROTHER HAD MADE SOME BAD CHOICES DURING HIS LIFE BY PURCHASING A
MOTORCYCLE AND BY DATING OTHER WOMEN SHORTLY AFTER HIS WIFE'S DEATH.
KELLY STATED KIMBLE EXPLAINED HE COULD ACCOUNT FOR HIS TIME AND
WHEREABOUTS ON THE DAY OF HIS SISTER-IN-LAW'S DEATH WHICH COULD BE
CORROBORATED BY RONNIE KIMBLE'S WIFE. THE INTERVIEW WITH NATALIE KELLY WAS CONCLUDED AT APPROXIMATELY 1500HRS MARCH 04, 1997.
