On October 30, 1997, I
interviewed James Ogburn at Lyles Building Materials on West Lee
Street. Mr. Ogburn in employed by Lyles Building Materials and he
was working there on October 9, 1995. Mr. Ogburn stated that he first saw Ronnie Kimble at Lyles at about 8:30 a.m. He stated that Ronnie left about 30 or 40 minutes later in the box truck. He said that Ronnie came back to Lyles at about lunch time. Mr. Ogburn said that when Ronnie returned, he was driving his car. He stated that Ronnie told him that the car was for sale. Mr. Ogburn stated that he left for lunch at bout 1:30 p.m. and did not return until shortly before 3:00 p.m. He stated that his car broke down and that was the reason he was late returning from lunch. Mr. Ogburn stated that Ronnie was helping Steve build dog houses. He stated that Ronnie left at about 4:30 p.m. and that Ted and he left at about 5:40 p.m.
