DeBerry, Sergeant, Major Crimes Section, Guilford County Sheriff's Department, being duly sworn, request that the court issue a warrant to search the person, place, vehicle, and other items described in this application and to find and seize the property and person described in this application. THE
APPLICANT SWEARS TO THE FOLLOWING FACTS TO ESTABLISH PROBABLE CAUSE
FOR THE ISSUANCE OF A SEARCH WARRANT:
That this
affiant is a Criminal Investigator with the Guilford County
Sheriff's Dept. assigned as Sergeant over the Major Crimes Section,
That I have been a law enforcement officer for 22 years. I have
attended several schools covering both basic and advanced criminal
investigations.
That on
October 9, 1995 a human body was found inside the residence by fire
personnel after extinguishing the fire that had occurred at 2104
Brandon Station Rd., Pleasant Garden, N.C.. The body was sent to the
Medical Examiners office-in Chapel; Hill, N.C. for an autopsy on
October 10, 1995. Information received from the medical examiner was
that the body found died as a result of a gunshot wound. That the undersigned officer believes there is probable cause and reasonable grounds to believe that the crime of 1st Degree Murder has been committed. That by seizing any firearms or any other items that are reasonably related to the manner of the killing would aid in the identification or elimination of any suspects.
