Supplemental Report
1. Incident Number: 951009027
2. Victim's Name: PATRICIA GAIL KIMBLE
3. Day/Date/Time of Report: Thu May 9 15:23:40 EDT 1996
4. Narrative: I WENT TO 2100 MITCHELL AVE. OFF LEE'S CHAPEL ROAD
TODAY AND SPOKE WITH LARRY STEPHEN SWANEY. LARRY, CALLED STEVE, WAS
IN THE YARD WITH TWO WHITE MALES AND ONE WHITE FEMALE, OLDER PEOPLE.
LARRY HAD HIS MOPED IN THE YARD ALSO AND SAID THAT IT WAS BROKEN AND
WOULD NOT RUN.
I ASKED STEVE IF HE REMEMBERED THE DAY HE WAS WORKING FOR TED KIMBLE
BACK IN OCTOBER, THE DAY TEDS WIFE DIED AND HE SAID THAT HE
REMEMBERED AND THAT HE WAS THERE UNTIL AROUND 1730 HRS. IN THE
EVENING AND HAD LEFT BEFORE TED DID. I ASKED HIM WHO ELSE WAS THERE
WORKING AND HE COULDN'T REMEMBER THE BLACK MALES NAME AND SAID THAT
HE DIDN'T KNOW WHO HE WAS. STEVE SAID THAT TED WAS THERE ALL DAY AND
DID NOT LEAVE, BUT HE ALSO SAID THAT HE WAS REAL BUSY THAT DAY AND
SAID THAT TED COULD HAVE LEFT AND COME BACK BUT HE DIDN'T THINK SO.
HE SAID THAT HE REMEMBERED RONNIE, TEDS BROTHER COMMING IN THAT DAY
AND THAT HE WAS DRIVING A BIG WHITE TRUCK, BUT THAT HE DIDN'T
REMEMBER ANYONE BEING WITH HIM AND DID NOT REMEMBER RONNIE COMMING
IN AROUND 1500 HRS. IN A BLUE CAMARO. HE ALSO SAID THAT TED'S FATHER
WAS THERE THAT DAY, BUT THIS IS CONTRARY TO WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT TEDS
FATHER BEING IN LYNCHBURG VA.
I THINK STEVES MEMORY
IS NOT JUST EXACTLY RIGHT. STEVE APPEARED TO ME TO BE OF LOW
INTELLENGENCE OR A LD PERSON.A
I TOLD STEVE THAT I
WOULD PROBABLY BE BACK TO SEE HIM AND GAVE HIM ONE OF MY CARDS AND
TOLD HIM IF HE DID REMEMBER ANYTHING THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED THAT DAY
TO GIVE ME A CALL.
5. Reporting
Officer/Assignment: DET. J.D. CHURCH
(52)
AI'm
surprised Church picked up on it. I'd say the two make a pair
and have a lot in common. (HA)
This is the Steve I had to run down
to get his SS number for my accountant. I never told him what
to say. Church might.
