CASE SUMMARY
1. This investigation was initiated on 30OCT95 after Detective Jim
CHURCH, Guilford County (NC) Sheriff's Office (GCSO) asked for
assistance in locating and interviewing LCPL Ronnie Lee KIMBLE,
USMC, 240-47-9667, regarding his knowledge of V/KIMBLE'S
(Sister-in-Law's) untimely death, Reference (a) pertains. Subsequent
to Reference (a), Detective CHURCH requested additional tasking of
NCIS. Reporting Agent (RA) was asked to locate and interview a
friend of LCPL KIMBLE, CPL Donald SILVERTHORN, USMC, 401-13-5761.
Additionally, RA was asked to prepare a photographic line-up with
LCPL KIMBLE's photograph. The tasking was completed and reported in
Reference (b). Since that time (13JUN96), no additional requests for
assistance have been received, Reference (c) pertains. However, on
31JAN97, Detective CHURCH advised additional tasking of NCIS is
anticipated in the near future. For that reason, this investigation
will remain open and in a pending status. There is no EDC for this
investigation. This report will being forwarded to Detective J. D.
CHURCH, GCSO, for law enforcement purposes.
