death and expressed concern about the state of her marriage, Ted not
wanting to spend time with her anymore, taking a 2nd job, wanting to
buy a motorcycle, and using profanity and other bad language.

Function: (1) Document that Patricia called her 2-3 weeks before her
death and told her about the insurance Ted forged her name on, in
case something happened to her, and that she was scared. (2)
Document Ted's desire to buy a motorcycle and he had gotten the 2nd
job to pay for it.

Relationship: Patricia's friend; wife of Gary
Lyle, who sold Lyles Building Material to Ted and Patricia.
Function: Document Patricia's phone call, the fear in Patricia's
voice, Patricia crying, saying Ted was not the man she married and
all he cared about was money, she found a life insurance policy for
which Ted forged her name, Ted slept with a gun under his pillow and
she wondered each night if she would wake up in the morning.

Relationship: Ted's employer; sold Lyles
Building Material to Ted and Patricia.
Function: (1) Document phone call from Patricia Rose Lyles testified
to; talked about the insurance; Ted wanted to buy a motorcycle to
ride up and down High Point Road; the $5,000 worth of extras he had
put on their Jeep; he agreed to talk to Ted at the marriage retreat
in a couple of weeks. (2) Document that he wouldn't have sold the
business to Ted if he weren't married.

Function: (1) Document Ted Kimble's application for employment and
his work history with the company. (2) Documented that Oct 2-6, Ted
was in orientation during the 1st shift, 1st day on 2nd shift was
the 9th, and he arranged to come in late, at 6 pm instead of 3 pm.
(3) Ted on unpaid leave between October 9th and November 27th, at
which time he was terminated.

Function: Verify Ted's presence at Precision Fabrics about 6 pm the
night of October 9.

Function: Witness withdrawn after admissibility hearing. She would have
testified that she had a conversation with Patricia on October 6,
1995, in which Patricia told her she and Ted were about to lose
Lyles and that is why Ted took the second job, because they had to
come up with a large amount of money.

Kimble; introduced Janet Blakley to Ted Kimble.

target practice, with Ronnie present.

of them. (2) Ted informed him at a later meeting that Patricia

Function: (1) She started seeing Ted about 2-3 weeks after
Patricia's death, and they dated for about a month. (2) He brought
her to the house and showed her where Patricia's body was found, and
that he was unemotional about it. (3) Ted was very angry that he
wasn't getting insurance money in the amounts he wanted. (4) Ted
claimed greater value for the contents of the house on the insurance
claims. (5) Witnessed conversation between Ted and Ronnie in which
they were both very upset and angry. (6) Ted carried a gun on a
continuous basis.

he was trying to get him convicted.
