RE: Ronnie Lee Kimble

Dear Mr. Hatfield:

Due to a change in the assignment of judges, Judge Freeman will not be available to hear the motions in the Kimble cases on January 26, 1998. Judge Beale will be handling the first week of the two weeks previously assigned to Judge Freeman. Judge Freeman will be available during the terms of February 2 and February 9, 1998.

I am inclined to defer these motions to one of Judge Freeman's February terms and I would like your input.

I am now scheduled to begin a capital case on January 26, 1998, therefore I may not be available for these February terms.

Sincerely,

/signature/

Richard E. Panosh,
Assistant District Attorney
