4. Narrative: ON 04JAN9596 AT 1730 HRS. DET. BYRD AND THIS WRITER WENT BY 318 ERWIN ST. IN GREENSBORO AND SPOKE WITH LAURA ANN HOOKS SHEPHERD.^A LAURA IS THE FORMER GIRLFRIEND OF RODNEY WOODBURY A FORMER EMPLOYEE OF TED KIMBLES. LAURA SAID THAT TED HAS CALLED THERE MANY TIMES BEFORE AND^B AFTER PATRICIAS DEATH LOOKING FOR RODNEY. LAURA CALLS RODNEY, RONNIE. SHE SAID THAT TED HAS TOLD HER THAT HE HAS GIVEN RONNIE MONEY IN ADVANCE FOR WORK HE IS SUPPOSED TO DO FOR HIM AND HAS NOT DONE.^C

SHE SAID THAT RONNIE CALLED HER THE NEXT MORNING AFTER PATRICIAS DEATH AND TOLD HER THAT PATRICIA WAS DEAD AND HAD DIED IN THE HOUSE FIRE. SHE ALSO SAID THAT RONNIE TOLD HER THAT KIM MORRIS MIGHT HAVE BEEN THE ONE WHO KILLED PATRICIA BECAUSE HE WAS A CRACKHEAD.^D

THE LAST TIME TED CAME BY WAS LAST THURSDAY AND HE WAS LOOKING FOR RONNIE THEN. AT THAT TIME HE TOLD LAURA THAT PATRICIA WAS PREGNANT^E AT THE TIME SHE DIED.
 

LAURA SAID SHE WOULD COME TO THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT AND GIVE A FULL STATEMENT IF NEEDED AND WOULD CALL IF RONNIE OR TED CAME BY OR CALLED.

^ALaura and Rodney had a big falling out.  She got pregnant meanwhile Rodney was out sleeping around.  We are talking low class people.  She lives off Randleman Road.  She could testify to waht a lier Rodney is and would most likely enjoy doing it.  She claims to have lost the baby.  She spoke nicely toward me, but she hates Rodney.  After Rodney left her, Laura took his clothes and piled them in the front yard and set them on fire.  If you need to know more, let me know.

^BRodney would page or phone me wanting advice around the house.  Most of which on work he never did.  I went by a few times between jobs. 

^CRodney wanted advice on putting up a storm door, replacing some siding on a porch.  Hit me up for an advance $50 on one occation promising to help me put the siding up on my garage.  I called and went by but he wasn't there or wouldn't show.  He was a dead-beat.

^DSame thing I thault.

^ENo idea where that's coming from.  She would always cry on my shoulder about her sitation.  I was always nice about it and would lissen.  Maybe the detectives miss understood between Laura being pregnant at the time of Patricia's death.
