Guilford County Sheriff's Department
Supplemental Report

1. Incident Number: 951009027
2. Victim's Name: PATRICIA GAIL KIMBLE
3. Day/Date/Time of Report: Thu Aug 15 12:31:33 EDT 1996
4. Narrative: I CONTACTED NANCY YOUNG BY PHONE, 674-6974 AT 1225HRS. 15AUG96 AT HER HOME, 620 SEBASTIAN LN. PLEASANT GARDEN. NANCY WAS WORKING AT CINIMMON RIDGE APTS. WITH PATRICIA AT THE TIME OF HER DEATH. PATRICIA HAD TOLD NANCY ABOUT THE $200,000.00 INSURANCE POLICY THAT TED HAD TAKEN OUT ON HER AND I ASKED HER TO DESCRIBE AGAIN HOW PATRICIA REACTED ABOUT THIS INCIDENT. NANCY SAID AS BEST AS SHE COULD REMEMBER THAT PATRICIA WAS VERY UPSET ABOUT THE INSURANCE POLICY AND THAT WAS ABOUT ALL SHE COULD REMEMBER. SHE SAID THAT ON THE DAY THAT PATRICIA DIED THAT SHE RETURNED FROM LUNCH BEFORE 1400 HRS. AND THAT SHE INFORMED NANCY THAT SHE WAS LEAVING EARLY AND DID LEAVE AT 1530 HRS.

NANCY SAID THAT PATRICIA HAD NOT ACTED AS THOUGH ANYTHING WAS WRONG ON THAT DAY OR ANY OF THE DAYS BEFORE HER DEATH. SHE SAID THAT EVERYTHING SEEMED TO BE OK WITH HER AND TED AND NO PROBLEMS OTHER THAN THE INSURANCE POLICY THAT TED HAD TAKEN ON HER.

NANCY SAID THAT SHE DID NOT ATTEND MONNETT ROAD BAPTIST CHURCH ANYMOREA THAT SHE NOW ATTENDS PLEASANT GARDEN BAPTIST CHURCH. SHE GAVE NO REASON FOR CHANGING CHURCHES BUT I THOUGHT IT STRANGE THAT SHE LEAVE THE CHURCH THAT TEDS FATHER IS THE PASTOR OF AFTER PATRICIAS DEATH.

I TOLD HER THAT NONE OF THE KIMBLE FAMILY WOULD COOPERATE WITH ME IN THE CASE AND THIS DIDN'T APPEAR TO HAVE ANY EFFECT ON HER AND WOULD NOT SAY ONE WORD ABOUT ANY OF THE KIMBLES.

I ASKED HER WHERE STEPHNIE HER DAUGHTER WAS NOW AND SHE SAID THAT STEPHANIE WAS LIVING WITH HER AND THAT THE BABY HAD BEEN BORN AND THAT STEPHANIE WAS WORKING IN GREENSBORO AS A DENTAL ASSISTANT. I TOLD HER THAT I WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK WITH STEPHANIE AGAIN BUT SHE DID NOT GIVE ME THE NAME OF HER EMPLOYER OR HOW I COULD GET IN TOUCH WITH HER AT WORK, BUT DID SAY THAT STEPHANIE WOULD BE THERE IN THE EVENINGS AND THAT I
COULD CALL.

I GOT A STRONG IMPRESSION THAT NANCY DIDN'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT PATRICIAS DEATH AND JUST WANTED IT TO BE A THING OF THE PAST. I PROBABLY GOT THIS FEELING BECAUSE OF TWICE DURING OUR CONVERSATION NANCY SAID THAT HER DEATH HAD BEEN QUIET FOR SOME TIME AND SEEMED TO BE A PAST THING AND SHE DIDN'T HEAR ANYTHING ABOUT IT ANYMORE OR ANYONE TALKING ABOUT IT ANYMORE. I INFORMED HER THAT IT HAD NOT GONE AWAY AND THAT PEOPLE DOES TALK ABOUT IT ON A DAILY BASES AND THAT THE INVESTIGATION IS GOING ON EVERYDAY. NANCY SAID THAT IF SHE DID KNOW ANYTHING OR THOUGHT OF ANYTHING THAT HAPPENED BEFORE PATRICIA DIED THAT WOULD HELP THAT SHE WOULD CONTACT ME.
